Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen could help solve Manchester United’s attacking problems if the Nigerian eventually moves to Old Trafford, according to Turkish football pundits.
Turkish pundit Yetiş Yönetci praised Osimhen’s quality and suggested that the Galatasaray forward possesses the ability to make a significant difference at one of Europe’s biggest clubs.
“Victor Osimhen would be the cure for all of Manchester United’s woes,” Yönetci said while discussing the Nigerian striker’s qualities.
Former Göztepe youth chief scout Burak Kural also backed the assessment, arguing that there are very few clubs in Europe where Osimhen would not be capable of playing.
The comments come as Manchester United continue to face questions over their attacking strength following a difficult start to the 2026/27 Premier League campaign. The club suffered a 2-0 defeat to newly promoted Hull City on Saturday, with Nigerian defender Semi Ajayi scoring Hull’s opening goal.
Osimhen, meanwhile, remains one of the most highly regarded strikers in European football. The 27-year-old has continued to produce goals since joining Galatasaray, having scored 53 goals in 69 appearances for the Turkish champions after his move from Napoli.
His goalscoring record and physical presence have made him an attractive target for several major European clubs. Arsenal have also been linked with the Nigerian in recent weeks, while reports have suggested that other clubs are monitoring his situation.
Osimhen is currently contracted to Galatasaray until June 2029, meaning any club hoping to sign him would likely have to make a substantial financial commitment.
For Manchester United, the possibility of bringing in a proven striker could provide a major boost to an attack that has struggled to consistently convert chances. Osimhen's pace, strength, movement and finishing ability are among the qualities supporters believe could make him a strong fit for the Premier League.
Whether United will make a serious move for the Nigerian remains uncertain, but the latest comments have once again placed Osimhen at the centre of speculation about potential solutions to the club's attacking problems.
