Big Brother Naija star Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has reportedly been arrested by the Nigeria Police Force after allegedly failing to honour three invitations from the police between May and August 2026.
The reported arrest was disclosed by movie producer and Best of Nollywood (BON) chief executive officer, Seun Oloketuyi, who claimed that Tacha was picked up at her residence in Ajah, Lagos, on Sunday morning.
Oloketuyi alleged that the invitations were issued by the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre (NPF-NCCC), but that the reality star did not respond to them.
He wrote that Tacha was eventually arrested at her Ajah residence after allegedly ignoring the three invitations.
The reported arrest is believed to be connected to a social media post Tacha made in March 2026 in which she accused a man of rape and other serious offences. Reports say the allegations generated controversy after the man claimed they affected his employment opportunities and a prospective job abroad.
Tacha had posted a video on X warning people about the man and accusing him of being a rapist. The exact allegations being investigated by the police have not, however, been officially disclosed.
While several media outlets have reported that Tacha was arrested, the claim had not been independently confirmed by the police as of Monday morning.
P.M. NEWS contacted Tacha's manager following the reports, but the manager said he could not confirm the arrest and had also been unable to reach the reality star.
The uncertainty has left questions about Tacha's current whereabouts and the precise reason for the alleged police action.
Tacha rose to prominence after appearing on Big Brother Naija and has since built a career as an entertainer, social media personality and entrepreneur.
The development has generated considerable attention online, with fans and critics discussing the circumstances surrounding the alleged arrest and the social media post that reportedly drew the attention of the authorities.
Until the Nigeria Police Force provides an official statement or Tacha's representatives confirm the development, the reported arrest remains unverified.
