Wande Coal Hits Back at Davido Over ‘Come My Way’ Dispute

Nigerian singer Wande Coal has responded to Davido’s comments about their unreleased collaboration, “Come My Way,” insisting that the song had already performed well without Davido’s contribution.

The dispute began after Davido discussed the collaboration during a recent podcast interview. According to Davido, Wande Coal initially approached him to contribute to the song, and he subsequently recorded a verse.

Davido said the collaboration was never released because the two artistes disagreed over how the song should be presented. He explained that Wande Coal wanted to release the original version first and later use Davido’s contribution for a remix.

Davido said he had recorded his verse with the expectation that it would be part of the original collaboration rather than a remix.

Wande Coal, however, rejected Davido’s account and argued that the song already had a release plan and date before the disagreement.

The singer questioned why Davido would want to dictate the release strategy for a song that was not his own.

Wande Coal also dismissed the suggestion that the song needed Davido’s contribution to succeed, saying that “Come My Way” had already done well without him.

The exchange has since generated reactions from music fans, with many discussing the different accounts given by the two artistes over why the highly anticipated collaboration was never released.

Neither artiste has announced any immediate plan to release the previously recorded collaboration.
