The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has recovered a vehicle reportedly stolen in Abuja and handed it over to the Nigeria Police Force for further investigation.
The recovery was made by personnel of the FRSC during a routine operation in the Federal Capital Territory after officers identified the vehicle and raised concerns about its status.
The vehicle was subsequently taken into custody by the road safety officials and handed over to the police for necessary investigation and further action.
The FRSC said its personnel remain committed to supporting efforts to improve road safety and combat criminal activities involving vehicles on Nigerian roads.
The development highlights the importance of cooperation among security and road safety agencies in identifying stolen vehicles and preventing them from being used for further criminal activities.
The police are expected to investigate the circumstances surrounding the theft and recovery of the vehicle, including efforts to identify those responsible and establish how the vehicle came into the possession of the person from whom it was recovered.
Members of the public have continued to be encouraged to report suspicious vehicles and activities to security agencies to assist in tackling vehicle theft and other related crimes.
